She smiled. She sniffed the air, again. She swept her paw back, to catch another mouse. This time, it was average size. "Your turn!" she mewed to Leafeye.

Leafeye was't so sur she had hunted before but she was horrible. She put her nose up and took a few steps forward hoping to catch a scent but she didn't.

She looked at Leafeye. "You've hunted before, just not often," she purred. Cloverstar had been given her assessment much earlier than any of the other apprentices, she had caught on to what she was learning fast and easy. "I just have had lots of practice," she mewed reasuringly.

Leafeye was so lucky to have a friend like Cloverstar. She took a few more steps and then she caught the sent of a mouse and it was close crouching down she looked and sniffed.(got to go be back soon:))

Leafeye did as Cloverstar said and suddenly she say the mouse she silently approached it and then took a leap catching it and killing it instantly. She felt happiness rush through her.

Leafeye nodded and followed Cloverstar as she turned in the direction of camp.

She walked beside her, matching her pace to Leafeye's. "If we walk this slow, we won't get back til tomorrow!" Cloverstar teased Leafeye.

She laughed. "Race you there!" she mewed. She took off, lengthening her stride as far as she could. "Eat my Dust!" she laughed.

Leafeye smiled and gripping the mouse tight as she took off she was just as fast as Cloverstar so she might win.

She caught up and put a good effort in to get ahead.

She lengthened her stride even more, still laughing. She stopped shortly, not yet at camp. Coyote!, she thought. She called back frantically to Leafeye, "Stop! Coyotes!"

Stopping quickly next to Cloverstar and looked just where Cloverstar had been staring and saw them one.

She dug a hole and buried her freshly caught prey, signaling for her deputy to do the same. She looked around her surroundings. She knew she would live, considering she had nine lives, but Leafeye, since not a leader, only had one. (go to COYOTES!!!!!! thread. k?)
