Ivypaw was sorting herbs in the stone shelf when an odd scent filled her nose. A scent she only had scented when she was a kit. Suddenly, in the door way a ragged shape stood there. Leafeye! She yowled. But, the former deputy pounced on her.

Cloverstar scented her former deputy long away, and tracked the scent. She leaped onto the small she-cat. "Am I really going to have to kill you this time?" Leafeye laughed. "Too bad you can't." she hissed, then howled in pain as Cloverstar raked a long claw down her side. Once Leafeye got up, she bit Cloverstar ankle. Cloverstar yowled. "Call yourself a warrior?" Leafeye growled. "Call yourself a cat?" the beautiful leader retorted.

Ivypaw was scared. Leafeye had come back and all the warriors were hunting or border patrol. Suddenly, Leafeye shoved her mother into the ground then smashed her into the ground. Anger raged through her. "Your a disgrace to all living things she yowled. Then raked her claws on Leafeye's belly. Then bit her leg. Leafeye jumped back and her mother yelped and pounced onto Leafeye.

Cloverstar growled at Leafeye. "You touch my Clan, I will banish you from life."

What else can I do! she thought. Leafeye could try to kill her but there was no use. Cloverstar could kill her without even trying.

"Try to kill me, Cloverstar." Cloverstar jumped on the she-cat and bit her throat, killing her. Cloverstar looked down on her previous-deputy. She felt guilty, yet she didn't.

Ivypaw looked down at the black and white body smeared with blood from the neck down. Then she looked up at Cloverstar. "Are you OK!" she yelped and ran to her mothers side supporting her as she staggered and almost fell.

Cloverstar stood up straight. "I'm fine. I-I just didn't think I would ever have to kill her. I-I can't believe I did." she shuttered. "Go back to your den, I can manage, I have something to do."

Ivypaw nodded and watched as Cloverstar stepped out of the den and ran into the forest.

Cloverstar ran hard on her way to the StarPool. (it's on our Territory.) She stopped at the place and ran in to speak with LightClan.

Ivypaw rolled over and began to dream. She was Leafeye and she could see Cloverstar and Sunstorm. Suddenly she was Leafeye when she had come to kill Ivypaw. But why? Ivypaw hadn't known why Cloverstar had banned Leafeye.

Cloverstar lashed out at a tree with her long, black claws. She climbed a tree a scratched a large limb until it fell off.
